Riu Palace Riviera Maya 2014 Bride

Hi everyone! I am super new to this website but it has a ton of helpful information! I m planning to get married in May 2014 at Riu Palace Riviera Maya. I'm trying to get a head start on everything. I have a good idea of what I would like to do, but I'm a little confused about the reception part. I scheduled the wedding for 5pm on the beach and then ideally I would like to go straight to the reception and have that on the beach as well. The wedding planner said I could have a music system set up on the beach, but I would like my guests to be able to dance. Did anyone have their reception on the beach? And if so were your guests able to get up and dance? Thanks!

This is such a stressful process because I am not able to see anything before hand I was just wondering if you decided on your reception location yet? Yay! I'm sure I will see you there! I have been in school and just got out for the break so I plan to start getting more organized. I am going to have my reception on the beach. I don't think many people do that, but I really wanted to! It's a little extra. It's $40 a person and a beach location fee also. Congrats on your wedding!! If you have any more questions let me know! I have some price lists and things

 I said that wrong lol sorry! Its $70 per person and you have to have at least 40 people

good choice angie04 - after all, the beach is the biggest attraction in our incomparable Mayan Riviera....good thinking to capitalize on that
