I'm getting married in Punta Cana as well, and I never once thought about the sand being hot! I was planning to do barefoot sandals. Does anyone know what the sand is like in the DR in December?

Usually the white sand (Caribbean) does not get hot during the day.  

You girls will feel comfortable if you have decided to go barefoot.
