Symbolic weddings HELP!! :)

I am hoping that somebody here will be able to answer this for me. My Fiance and I are having a symbolic wedding at Excellence Riviera Cancun on 12/13/14, originally we were going to get married here in the states the day before we leave but we remembered that we have a friend of ours that is a minister. To keep the dates the same on the certificate as our ceremony in Mexico is it legally possible for him to sign the certificate the day we have the ceremony since he will be there anyway? Is there any information on the certificate that would require him to put where we got married?

That probably would not be legal, but you could look into it more. Legal weddings in Mexico have the same requirements, I believe, regardless of who performs them. And it is only legal if it is signed and dated at the same time, so he won't be able to fill everything in at home and just sign it the day of.

You can look into it more, but I know they are pretty strict about that. You could get him to perform the ceremony there, probably, but it won't be legally binding.
