A little thing I like to call "Operation Wedding Dress" (aka, my dress is too small... but it won't be soon!)

Hey ladies!!!!

Sorry I have been MIA for the past... month haha. Work really picked up, and we decided to go off birth control, so I have been dealing with a huge wave of emotions, etc. that has kept me pretty damn preoccupied! LOL I was on it for 10 years, so it was high time I went off... and holy eff! It's like I am a complete and total different person! I actually feel more like me, which is amazing. Plus, it has kicked up my sex drive like you wouldn't believe! and NOOO, we aren't trying for a baby, and are actively avoiding getting pregnant.... just needed to get off the hormones.

HUGE benefit of going off the pill? WEIGHT LOSS. For the first two weeks off the pill, I had ZERO appetite. I lost about 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Since then, it's is still a lot less appetite/ I can ignore the hunger and actually not eat when bored/ offered food but not hungry. We also are eating a lot healthier, and I am going to the gym 3 times a week/ walking for an hour in my neighbourhood after dinner on the other nights. So, let's just say, the past 4 weeks has seen me drop around 15 pounds. Which is flipping fantastic! I haven't seen this weight, and stayed at it for more than a day or so, in over a year! I am hoping to drop to 170 by the end of August (so another 2 and a half weeks) to lose 7 pounds. Then it will be a big push to get to 150 by Christmas. And then 130 by Easter. Whole new me! hahaha!

and you know you aren't lying to yourself, when people start complimenting you on how great you look. This past month has really been such a huge ego boost, added to the fact that I feel completely and totally desirable and wanted. Such a kicker!

Glad going off the pill has worked for you, for me it was the complete opp. when I did it a few years back. That's how I gained 30lbs and was depressed etc......they say the pill helps regulate my hypothyroid issue so for now I shall stay on it. lol

Thats so amazing girl ! congrats! I have been on BC about the same amount of time.Im planing to go off in November/december ish ( we are gonna be trying to have a babY) lol, but I dont want to get pregnant TOO close to the wedding because then I would be showing So I figure about a month or 2 before shouldnt be too bad if I do get pregnant, and maybe it will happen on the honey moon :) :P

I would like to be 150 by my wedding, or about 145ish, but that may be pushing it. IM 5'7 so For me it will be dependant on how my body looks. If im happy at 150 then I will stay there :) we def have enough time to get to our goals. and you seem WELL on your way.. congrats!!!

Lets kill our workouts ladies!!!

We don't have the finacial means to have a child anytime soon. Gotta pay off student loans and cars before we can afford a house....kinda depressing. Plus we're not 100% sure we want a child yet. Kinda weird I know...

Thats understandable, and a responsible thing to do.. and Not everyone wants kids! My friend loves kids, loves her neices and nephews, but doesnt want any of her own. She likes her lifestyle too much to want to change it for a baby lol. Everyone has their own wants and needs right.. nothing wrong or weird with that!

I had the same issue right before my wedding and since that is the HARDEST for me to loose I had success going on a cleanse then after that I was completely motivated and did green juice for breakfast, green juice for lunch, fresh veggies and fruits for snacks....ending the day with a balanced meal protein, veggie and a carb like quinoa, brown rice or gluten free pasta. It sounds extreme, but it worked and I saw other benefits like clearer skin and more energy. If you are also working out I would recommend protein shake with spinach for lunch. I didn't have time to workout between work and wedding stuff so I just stuck with my diet and with being so busy....the juice was so easy since I would make it a couple days in advance and keep it in a pitcher. I also did planks most mornings for 5-7 minutes I would alternate 1 minute on break, then continue. And I kept hand weights at work to do arms at my desk to get them toned.

I was sooo worried it would be the complete opposite. But the more I thought about it, it was when I went on BC, that I started to gain weight, and my metabolism slowed waaayyyyy down. The pill literally took everything out of me- my whole personality changed, now that I am realizing I am coming back. The me I was over 10 years ago is finally back, and this is the version of me I have been trying to be this whole time, but is actually genuine! Happy, caring, loving, feeling desirable and wanted, affectionate, etc. These are all things I "told" myself I was, but never believed it all these years, because something in me had changed. It is crazy the complete alteration hormones made on me.

Good for you for staying on it! I would gladly have stayed on it, as now I will be praying for Aunt Flo every month until at least next July and sex, while great, is slightly less because of needing to pause for those few moments of needing to put a condom on. HAHAHA. Only on the internet, with ladies like you who I know won't judge, would I ever share that haha.

Thanks love!!!! It is really amazing how awesome and liberating it has been to be off of it. I feel the same way, I am just going to be very cautious until about next July... then, I don't really care if I am a few months pregnant for our wedding either. Awwww, babies! I am waaayyy more excited about that time in my life than the wedding. I am excited about our wedding, don't get me wrong, but making a mini- us, and experiencing all that- man, sooo excited it is closer than not for us. I cannot wait for Amir to be a Dad- I think that is my biggest excitement, is to see him become this amazing father, and that I get to be the one to make him into this amazing person. woot2.gif

Ideally, I would like to be down to 130 for my wedding. As I am only 5'4, I figure it is the perfect weight to look the best in my dress. SOOOO far to go still, but I know I will get there. The past few weeks motivation has really kicked it up a notch. Whereas before, I could totally talk myself into NOT working out, now I need to push myself to take a day and just relax. It helps that I know I can just take an hour in the evening and go for a walk. Not only is it my downtime, me time, it's also exercise, and I don't walk slowly, so it still gets my heart rate up, which is awesome.

You definitely have enough time to get to your goal, and all the work you have already put in is amazing!  woot.gif

Have a great day yourself ladies!!!!!
