Costa Rica Villa Wedding

Hi Brides! I am getting married in the Tamarindo area in January 2014. Since we started planning, the idea was always to have a beach ceremony and a reception at a private villa for about 30 people. I'm working with a wonderful planner, and we're about to move forward with booking a large private villa in Hacienda Pinilla but I'm getting cold feet. I read some comments from a bride who had a villa wedding, and said her guests all changed out of their formal clothes and didn't dance once they got back to the villa.

We want our reception to be small, private, romantic, yet FUN! I would consider doing it at a boutique hotel, but then I'm worried I won't be able to customize things at all. Ahh! Have any of you had a villa wedding? Or if you had a wedding at a boutique hotel, how much customization was possible? Any comments or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks lovelies!

Hey DeeOlivia,

We had our wedding 2 years ago at a Large Private Villa called Villa Punto de Vista! It was incredible experience, i would absolutely recomend the villa experience! I just posted a video I found of it on another thread I found featured on a Wedding Blog!  It was spectacular! When we were there it was soo much fun we danced all night in the villas own Disco! It was perfect for us because we wanted the intimate feel and not have to share our special day with everyone else!

Our anniversary is coming up and we are planning to come back to Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica Was so beautiful I am sure it will be wonderfull. Our Family and friends absolutely loved Manuel Antonio - All the monkeys, Sloths & Beach were right outside the villa.

Anyways, I am not sure about your location but I am sure its beautiful,  The villa experience we had was amazing. Now my sister is getting married July next year and we are thinking about going back to the villa!

Here is the Indian Wedding I just found featured, it looked incredible: http://jonathanyonkers.com/blog/2013/06/anokhi-amit-highlights-video/

Not sure what the website is, but I am sure you can find it: It was called Villa Punto de Vista.

P.S. - Be sure to check out renting a catamaran for your group! It was incredible to have the boat to ourselves!

Hey! I am getting married in June 2014 at Punto de Vista Villa in Manuel Antonio!

I am not hiring a wedding planner, since I have done most of the planning already and have a list of recommended vendors.

However, do you have a band or DJ you recommend? What vendors did you use?

Any other tips or advice of where in the villa to have the ceremony vs reception?

Thanks!

Helena

Hello! Sounds like you had an amazing wedding! May I ask who you used for your planner?
