Does having a wedding in the most beautiful place in the US (NW Michigan!) count as a destination wedding?!

Hi all! I'm a newbie here, and even though I'm not the traditional "destination" wedding type, I already feel like reading some of these threads here has helped soooo much!

My name is Skye, and I'm getting married June 2014 outside of Traverse City, MI. It's approximately 4.5 hours from where I and most of my family live in metro-Detroit, and I've already gotten grief from family that I'm getting married "so far away", so just humor me and agree that I'm having a destination wedding too

I say it's most definitely a destination wedding since it is outside of the city you live in! So congrats and happy planning! There are sooo many great ideas on this forum!
