Symbolic Ceremony

My FI and I are getting married at the Presidente Intercontinental in Nov 2013. We are planning to have our legal marriage done by a commissioner back in Canada before we leave for the wedding and are planning to do a Symbolic ceremony in Mexico. Does anyone know what happens in the symbolic ceremony or how do you figure out what to do?

Hi kimanddevon, Congratulations on your engagement and welcome to the forum!! Not to fret, this is not unusual to get married in Canada before hand, many of our clients opt for this option. With legal weddings it definitely is a lengthier process. With a Symbolic wedding in Mexico, it depends on what wedding package you choose, there's usually like a Mayan Blessing package, or something else Symbolic, you can exchange vows and all that other good stuff. You will have to arrive in destination about 2 business days before your wedding date, to go over all the wedding details with your onsite wedding coordinator.
