Hello ladies, I am also getting married at GSP Saturday May3rd at the riviera Gazebo at 4pm I have already given my deposit and we are planning to have our reception at the chill out bar. We are going to be having their DJ (as they don't allow outside DJs) and the acrylic lit dance floor . We are flying in our own photographer , as he is the husband of one of my good friends. I was wondering if anyone is going to have a beach, chill out reception or cocktail hour, if so, have you paid anything extra than the $200 deposit.? I'm just scared that by not paying another deposit that someone can reserve the chill out bar. Going back to the photographers, I have received quotes from other studios in the playa del Carmen area and I must say their pictures are much better than the samples that our coordinator sent us ... But are much more expensive. There was one photographer that was very reasonable $1000 but the quality not as good as other ones that I have seen. Thanks ladies

Pictures... One of my best friends husband is a photographer , so we are going with him... I did get sample pictures of the photographers that GSP uses and they are OK... I have seen beautiful pictures of outside vendors but have also gotten their quotes as well and they have been more than what the packages offered by the GSP. I have a question, is anyone having their reception either at the chill out bar, beach or a cocktail hour, I just want to know if you have given more than the $200 deposit. Thanks ladies

Hi DannaeS1!! I'm having the reception dinner on the Chill Out and I only paid $200 for the deposit. I'm also debating whether to go for an outside photographer because their picture samples look JUST okay.

Hey guys!! I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for me regarding their hair dresser. I have already talked to my WC, and she gave me an email address to contact them myself to book appt. However, does anyone know about how well they do hairstyles or even If you have pictures of what they did. I would really appreciate it! I'm trying to figure out if I should go ahead and make the appt with them or look for outside hair an makeup. Please and thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Hi DannaeS1, I was just reading your post and am confused cause we have also confirmed the 4pm at the sunset gazebo on May 3rd, and then scheduled for the 6pm at the private cll out beach party. Huh? Now I'm worried. We booked it in May.

Hello! I have my wedding secured now for June 7, 2014..I'm so excited! We are getting married at 4 pm at the sunset gazebo and we are doing the chill out party which starts at 6pm! We are going to be using Dean Sanderson for photography,....I read great reviews on him and LOVE the photos hes taken of weddings on his website! I have a question for all of you...is the hair stylist at the resort any good? I want a wavy loose up do-nothing super tight or tightly curled...just a beachy feel. I wonder if they're any good at this? If anyone has pictures of the hairstylist's work that would be great! Thank you!

Hello nicolesu... I am worried to .. My wedding coordinator is Araceli... I'm giving her a call tomorrow morning. I have already given my deposit and have been reassured that the sunset Gazebo and chill out bar are reserved for my wedding. I have booked our travel and reservation and a couple of guests have done it also. Who is your coordinator?

Hello... I am also planning to get my hair done at their salon. I have seen some pictures and it looks like they do a good job. I might have my hair stylist here in the US do it a couple of weeks before take lots of pictures with angles and take the pics with me so they can copy it.
