Now Larimar 2014 Brides

Recommended Posts

Hey there. Can anyone tell me if this is an average sized resort compared to others in the area? Google Maps shows it could span as long as .5 miles back in length, which would make it bigger than Melia, but half the amount of rooms. Can anyone shed some light on the size?

I've reserved a May 22, 2014 -6pm- beach wedding followed by a beach reception.  I'm still on the fence though as it has been weeks since my travel agent has heard from the resort.  So any info would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks so much!

it is way smaller than melia and overall it is considered one of the smaller ones in the area. Maybe it looks big in google maps because the sister resort secrets royal beach which is adults only is right next to it.

Thank you!  We became confused by the Now Larimar's interactive map (http://www.nowresorts.com/larimar/map.html).  It shows the back rooms by a large lake, and then on Google Maps, the large lake is verrrrrrry far back, it's the area circled in purple.

700

So if it's just the area in red, then it's the same size as Secrets?  We have some non-mobile adults and young children, a .5 mile walk would not be ok for them.  I'm just so nervous to book without seeing the place! Did you feel that way?

Hey there.  This is the fourth time I've seen thins $5k to reserve a restaurant.   I didnt see this in any material from the resort nor hear about it from my travel agent.  Could you please explain in more detail what this is for?  I put a deposit down for May 22, 2014, beach ceremony and beach restaurant reception.  Thanks!

Hi lisamarco! The $5k is to reserve an entire restaurant for a private reception dinner. The restaurants include Mercure, Castaways, and Capers. This is found on Page 13 of the wedding guide. Since you have a beach reception though, you won't have to pay the $5k fee. I hope this helps!

Is Castaways the name of the Beach Restaurant?  My travel agent was under the impression that there wouldn't be a fee for the 'beach restaurant' but is becoming more clueless in the process!

I looked at the resort map and Castaways seems to be the closest restaurant to the beach. But the wedding guide says you can have your reception on the actual beach for free....I know it is seems so confusing! I'd double check your Wedding Coordinator to confirm.
