Since I will have nicer shoes, I want my bridesmaids and MOH to also wear shoes but I did make them these for beach pictures and for whenever else they want to wear them.

These were fairly simple to make even though I had never done any beading. I purchased all my supplies at Michael's (with a nice coupon!)

Supplies:

Beads

Clear Elastic Thread

Beading Needle

Patience and no kids! lol (We have an 18 month old son and this project was definitely done after bed time)

All I did was string the beads onto the elastic using the beading needle and once it was long enough to fit around my ankle made a knot. Then I added the beads for the long part that goes over top my foot. Once that was at a good length, I added the smaller beads that go around the toe. Then, I made a circle with the small beads to create a loop for the toe, tying a knot between the toe loop and the long string of beads. That's it! I know it sounds kind of complicated, but I can't really type the instructions clearer. It's really trial and error, though. Just basically string beads long enough to fit your foot and you'll be good to go.

I made myself an ivory pair:

Please excuse my unmanicured, not-so-cute feet. My feet really don't look THAT dinosaur-ish in real life...it's hard to take a good picture of your own foot! lol

My bridesmaids, MOH, and flower girl will all wear purple:

Happy Planning, ladies! I know this one is a little confusing as far as my instructions, so please let me know if you have any questions! :)

I picked out a pre-maid pair on Etsy, but one pair was $30 which I thought was a little pricey. Can any of you tell me approximately how much you spent to make each pair? I love the idea of making them myself, it seems more personal!
It's definitely cheaper to make your own! I don't remember exactly what it cost me but I know I got all my beads at michaels and waited until they were on sale and combined a coupon. I would guess approximately $6/ set of sandals. :)
