hi everyone, I just found this blog and it is so helpful!  My wedding is booked for 5/25/13 at excellence riveria cancun.  I vacationed there 3 years ago and feel in love with it when I was there.  Does anyone have any thoughts on footwear for the ceremony in the sand??  I am worried about not wearing shoes to the ceremony and having issues with the length of my dress for the reception, where I will be wearing some sort of heel.

Congratulations on a great pick!  Have you thought of an embelished flat sandal for the reception?  There are some beautiful choices out there!  If you want a more laid back feel, a personalized flipflop an be a great idea!  Even matching ones for your bridesmaids can look great and bring a color theme together!

Congrats MeganH84 ! and welcome to the forum some brides choose to wear wedges to walk on the sand, then heels which are the same height for their photos + receptions afterwards.......there are so many styles to choose from.......could be worth a thought
