RSVP Timeframe????

OMG KK, Just one month? It's scary but you got me thinking about it, I might go this route. As I say before, people that are going to go would t mind to reply right away. I had a Friend get married in DominicanRepublic, and I remember her posting on FB about 2 weeks before the wedding telling people to please send their RSVP's. thankfully for her, she didn't get mArried at at resort but offsite, that is so scary, two weeks and still missing RSVP's. she gave people to RSVP until a month before the wedding so that could have been the issue.

My wedding is December of this year.  I sent STD's right before Christmas last year.  Invitations went out end of May, RSVP August 1st.  55 still to come in!  I would give people a month to RSVP MAX especially since you are sending STD's.  If you give them too long, they wait until the last minute and forget about them.

Well, look at me...my RSVP date is TODAY and there are still 55 missing cards!  This is such a hassle...

Thanks, that helps a lot! I think we will send the STD's in late Oct.  Invites in late March with an RSVP by mid to late May. Thanks so much for the input...I was going crazy trying to figure it out!

You're missing 55 on your RSVP date? That is unbelievable...I try to fill mine out when I get them and mail them back the next day so I don't forget. People can be so rude....

Yes!  I know, I always send mine back right away.  I was so surprised.  My best friend said "Don't be surprised when you are chasing people down" and I didn't believe it, but she was right!

I have noticed this complaint is fairly common for Destination Weddings. We sent out 70 invites in early March...to receive like 4 RSVPs if that! For 20 or so guests I was informed in person that they were coming ...and some (the majority) just never answered at all. I found it to be extremely rude. What's worse is our RSVP date was June 1st (our wedding is October) and we still have four undecided guests. One of which is waiting to find out if her son goes off to basic that week and the other is having passport issues...but it still is SUPER frustrating!

Well I learned two lessons from this: 1) SO glad I kept my invites on the inexpensive side. I loved Vistaprint because I was able to customize, they came out gorgeous (high quality paper), and I spent under $100 for everything (this included a few other things too).  2) I will not be the bride who calls everyone. If you want to come to my wedding - wonderful! If not, I will not chase you down. I am leaving it fairly open for those 4 guests, but no others LOL.

 

You can simplify ...but you have to have a strong resolve lol This WILL test your patience from time to time.
