Trash your dress...second gown?

So I really want to do a trash the dress session.. Does anyone use their real bridal gown or do brides buy a second gown?

I'm planning on using my real gown. Ill be there for another 5 days or so which should give it plenty of time to dry and then I'll have it cleaned when I get home. It'll be the only time I wear it besides my actual wedding day so why not?

I am using my real one too. And we are going extreme way: we'll be doing TTD right after the ceremony! We'll have only 2, maybe 3 guests with us, so I figured it's not a big deal getting wet in between ceremony and reception. And we're not planning on going really "trashy" - just some water up till the waist or so. Oh, and my dress costed me only 170$.

I did only because we had to do the TTD pics the day before the wedding. We flew down our photographers from home and they were there Wed- Sat am. The wedding was Friday, so a Thursday TTD was our only option. I just bought a knock-off on Ebay for $150! Otherwise, I would have used my same dress as it didn't get dirty at all really- just sandy.
