Getting married at tHe Hard Rock Cancun

Recommended Posts

hi ladies! I have some guests who think all inclusive is a rip off so I will need to pay for a guest pass for them to come to wedding I guess? I'm also interested in beach palace and deciding between HR and BP but with BP you must also pay more money for the private reception and are limited to 4guest passes. Is that true for HR and has anyone had this experience?

I've also been told that only 20% of guests can get day passes.  I've read on another forum that before it turned to Hard Rock other brides had their guests sign in people under their name so they could have more out of resort guests attend.  Quite frankly... I think its a ridiculous rule..considering the amount you have to pay per person (unless you qualify for the free cocktail/reception).

Where did you all decide to have your cocktail hour/reception?  I'm having a hard time deciding!

We are planning to get married at the Hard Rock Hotel Cancun aswell in june 2014.

So far phone service and wedding planning is outstanding with the coordinators in Cancun,Nadia Galvan And Christina Hernandez in Miami.

I Found TWO PROBLEMS though;

If you choose a Collin Cowie collection,(we chosed the White Rosette one) there is no possibility for you to request a presidential setting,witch is a big rectangular table for all your guests,instead of a lot of smaller tables of 6 to 10 people each.They say they can't modify the setting cause it's a designer collection...we'll see where this will take me.Personally I find that very anoying,owning a restaurant myself,it's far from being a complicated request.A big table for everybody together is simply magnificent for you and your guests!

Secondly,I don't know about YOU guys,but me personnally,I won't fly ALL those kilometers from Canada by plane,inviting relatives from Europe and South America to get there and having to serve MYSELF MY OWN DINNER ON MY WEDDING NIGHT...cause the only service you get if you decide to have your reception outdoor,witch is the pool area,beach area or rooftop is BUFFET STYLE...NO WAY !!!

Here in Canada Buffet style wedding don't even exist anymore i think.For breakfast maybe,but never for a celebration of this category. It's the lower range of restaurant service...

With All the money I will spend,i want to be served by waiters and my food plated,no negotiation on that for sure.It's not a big request,and I already took the steps to get what I want,I'll keap you posted.

Were you able to get a plated meal for the outside reception? If so, how?!!??! I would much rather have a plated meal than buffet style but I still want to be outside.

@curlygirlnpearl...like i said i got what i wanted...to be honest with you...here in Canada,BUFFET STYLE weddings are the cheapest and lowest type of service you can get...they should change their ways honestly if they consider themselves a 5 star hotel...I dont care what other hotels offer or not...I personally know whats good or not in terms of service...I dont want to compromise what i got,the only thing i can tell you is that you have to push hard with good anguments...In Miami they wont give you what you want...you ll have to call the hotel...
