Urgent help required- Documents required for wedding at gran bahia principe mexico

Argghh got more questions now. The translation company have asked if the translation needs to be certified by a spanish speaking solicitor? if my birth certificate and the spanish translation both need legalising and what type of legalisation i require (apostille,notarisation e.t.c)

 

I have asked my WC but she can take a while coming back to me so help would be appreciated.

Sorry I cant help

 

I know this is costly but when I was at my "really impatient stage" I called the hotel and spoke with the WC -  she answered everythign there on the spot.

 

When you call emphasise that you are calling from the UK - I called at 630pm our time.  Good luck, let us know how you get on  x

We are having the same problem at the moment, we are getting married in cancun in april next year and having real difficulty getting accurate information on getting our documents translated and apostilled.

 

What company are you using for translating and apostille, if you dont mind me asking? and how much is it costing you?

 

I hope you have managed to get things moving along as i know how stressful it can become.

It all depends on where you are from in the world, your  marital status - single, adopted, divorced and kept married name, divorced and back to maiden name, widow/widower there are so many different things.

 

Below are the details we have received for our wedding at Bahia Principe Hotel - we are from Scotland, both divorced and I have reverted to my maiden name

 

Bride & Groom must be at least 18 years of age at the time of the ceremony.

 

Bride & Groom & 4 witnesses (2 each) must arrive to their hotel 4 business days prior to the legal wedding ceremony date in order to complete and process the necessary documents and for the Bride and Groom to get the blood tests carried out.  NOTE Saturday and Sunday are not considered working days.

 

BLOOD TESTS  to determine blood type, HIV and STD also that bride and groom are not related.  Tests must be taken in Mexico. At the Gran Bahia Principe resort there is a medical center which provides this service. The price of the blood test is 90 USD per person that will have to pay in cash.

 

BIRTH CERTIFICATES

BRIDE & GROOM ARE SINGLE & FROM UK  - Provided their last names match to their parents name & passports the only documentation needed is Birth Certificate, Passport & Tourist cards.   NO requirement for translation.

If a bride or grooms former spouse is deceased then a copy of their death certificate is required. This is required for legal ceremonies only.

 

VALID PASSPORTS They are mandatory for a legal wedding to be performed. Passports must be presented to the wedding coordinator at the time of the wedding meeting. This meeting must be 4 days prior the wedding date. Please send your scanned passports to the WC along with application paperwork.

 

TOURIST CARDS  These green cards are provided to all persons upon their arrival into Cancun’s International Airport. Names on Tourist Card and Passport MUST be the same. This card proves your legal stay in Mexico.  These will be copied by the WC for Bride,  Groom and 4 witnesses – 2 each

TOURIST CARDS  These green cards are provided to all persons upon their arrival into Cancun’s International Airport. Names on Tourist Card and Passport MUST be the same. Hi April 2013 Bride I hope your wedding was fabulous, and that you are not too sad now it's all over! For fear of sounding like a broken record, can you confirm that the above was correct now that you have lived through it? My fiancé and I get married in May 2014 and have also been told we need our birth certificates apostille stamped etc. We are both single, neither have been married before, names as per our parents (although my mum and dad don't have passports, never have, and aren't coming to the wedding). If we have our birth certificates (actually they're copies - do you think this will be ok?), passports and tourist visas is there any other paperwork we'll need - from your experience - and overlooked?
