Help with my centerpiece!!!!

Recommended Posts

I think the candles are really beautiful ... I do agree about trying to add a little more color. The other thing that I was thinking was what about using a large round mirror to set the candles on? It really makes the candlelight amazing and it's a super-cheap way to add some sparkle. I think the round mirror would be nice because it repeats the circular shape of the candle holders and the round candles. I've seen some arrangements with the mirror and candles and then just a single bud - like a stargazer lilly, a calla, etc. - it's a nice alternative to petals. If you wanted maybe tie a brown ribbon around the flower to tie into your color scheme?

You're definitely on the right track! Good luck!

Is that exactly how many items will be on the table and their positioning? ARe you using round tables or rectangular etc? Humans like odd numbers and we like symetry. Depending on the shape of your table - you could add chocolate to give some contrast and a mirror would help too. Here is a great chocolate fabric if you want soemthing dark. Also - I liked nabumbah's table where she used ribbons to create runners - super pretty.

Even if you colors are chocolate, cream and olive, you can always add a complementing color that brings everything together. But I think sage would be great, like in the pic Lissah posted. Maybe just some springs with a sage color on the table ... I think something woodsy like that would look fabulous with your color scheme.

What do you all think.

I don't know if I would do that color b/c it seems to take away from your theme b/c it's the whole tablecloth. But the plates (darker bamboo style) would be great if you found something similar and placed the candles/vases on that. Just adds depth b/c of the difference in textures.

It is pretty though, but definately needs more colour!
I agree, I think more color. Maybe try to find those colored stones that you can put in the candle holders, and maybe some loose flowers around the vases. Otherwise, I like the set up.

Wow!! You ladies are awsome!! Talk about feeling inspired!smile03.gif

As for now, I haven't decided if I'm going to do just a runner or a complete tablecloth. The tables are sqare and sit around 6 people - 8 people per table.

A big THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!!!! I love the suggestions.....keep em' coming. grouphug.gif
