Bringing my bouquet home, need ideas for keeping it fresh & safe

I want to bring my bouquet back to have it preserved but am concerned about how to get it home in one piece (un-squashed preferably) and as fresh as possible. Does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to do this?

I was under the impression that you are not allowed to bring flowers, fruit, etc. back into the US from any foreign country. That includes wedding bouquets- my fiance's sister was married in Cabo san Lucas a couple years ago and wasn't allowed to bring the bouquet home.

If you will be wanting to bring your bouquet home to keep, then I suggest going along the silk flower route... you can get real-touch flowers that look and feel like real flowers.

I am having real touch flowers made, I think they will be perfect!
