Decided on Cabo, now what?

I highly recommend the Sheraton Hacienda del Mar which is within the Cabo del Sol community. It's an amazing hotel with outdoor and indoor venue options, terrace, poolside or ballrooms. We were married there last week and I fell in love with this hotel. The hotel design is amazing, staff is super friendly and their chapel (which allows for a Catholic ceremony) is small and cute. It was perfect for us. Our guests were also equally impressed.

@broflo The Sheraton requires a 10 room, 2-night block minimum for the night before your wedding and night of. This became a challenge when guests found better deals thru Costco.com. At the end, we made it work since we paid for most those reservations for family. That expense was about $4000. The rest of the cost was really for food/bev. For 50 guests we spent about $8500 for cocktail hour and appetizers, premium buffet and open bar for 5 hours plus a 3 hour Bon fire following our reception. Worth every penny. Our guests are still talking about our wedding. Truly a great time. Also, their venue and set-up is so nice we felt we didn't need to spend much on flowers. That was a huge savings. Also the buffet included 4 desserts so we opted for a 2-tier wedding cake, less than $200 there. Another huge savings. It really depends on what you value most and what experience you want to give your guests. Let me know if you need more info!

I am getting married at Villa Pelicano on January 10th. You can rent some amazing villas through cabovillas.com. Suzanne Morel is not only providing her mobile spa services to us at the villa, but is also providing most of my wedding decor and coordinating the day for me. She is very efficient and her team are great to work with. I also wanted to bring down some nice decor items of my own and not have problems bringing anything living, like flowers, into Mexico. I ended up ordering custom made paper flowers, including menu cards, place cards and chair swags for my honey and myself from a fantastic lady in Ontario, Canada from her online shop at www.etsy.com, called "Dragonfly Expressions". I am going to try and attach some pictures of the work she did for me, but her flowers in person are even better...beautiful and delicate and a lovely addition to the real flowers at our wedding. We are using Arturo Sotomayor ( a mexican classical guitarist) for our cocktail hour and he gave us a suggested playlist for us to choose from and has been a total sweetheart to work with. Our reverend is Marco Arechiga, who seems to do most of the weddings in Cabo, but he has been very professional and charming from our first initial contact with him. Our photographer is Enrique Morales and while we haven't seen his finished product, he too has been very responsive to date. Finally, we are using a "Matter of Taste" catering and Lisa has been a pleasure to work with. While their prices are a little on the high side compared to other quotes we received, they are very experienced wedding caterers and their food comes highly recommended. Our real flowers and wedding cake were ordered through Los Cabos Flowers at www.loscabosflowers.com and Donna and Francine have been great to work with and very accomodating with my budget and my changes. I was able to see what most of my flowers will look like via e-mail and can't wait to see them in person! When you are coordinating with vendors remotely, reputation and experience counts for a lot! Hope you find this information helpful and happy planning!

Hi! Thank yo for this information! I have been speaking with Suzanne about having her coordinate my wedding just like you did. I am deciding between her and Be That Bride (Candela). It seems like Suzanne thinks the vill weddings are the most cost effective, while Candela thinks they are the most expensive. How much did your wedding cost, if you don't mind me asking? How many people were there?
