Photographers who's price INCLUDES the vendor fees

Hi there,

The resort I'm getting married had an $800 vendor fee for bringing in outside photographers. I have found one photographer who will cover up to $500 of the vendor fee. I'm wondering if anyone can recommend other photographers that include something similar in the cost of their packages.

Thanks!

p.s. Stacy Clarke photography covers up to $500

Hey there,

Of all the photographers that I considered and contacted (8 total) none of them covered any part of the vendor fee.  It is not standard practice for them to do so, and I believe you found one of the few exception that do. if anything, most will have a preferred list of vendors that you can use where the vendor fee will be waived.

Good luck with you search and happy planning

I figured as much but I thought maybe if I found one, I'd be able to find others :)

Same as choco most photographers I contacted did t cover the vendor fee. Most resorts do have preferred vendors where the fee is waived but if you don't like any of the vendors on their list you can also look at the cost of booking your photographer into a room as most resorts also waive the fee if the vendor is staying on site for the minimum night requirement. A $800 fee is quite high so depending on what the room rates are it might be cheaper to book a room for 3 nights

I've done a lot of research! It looks like a lot of photographers will pay for SOME of the vendor's fee. Or will book a room at the resort depending on where and the package you get which may also help avoid the vendors fees. Here's the info I've gathered so far for anyone interested. I'm also thinking a lot of things are negotiable!

Thank you so much for posting this!  We are thinking about using Misha Earle.  I've connected to her work the most and it is so helpful to see her price list.  I havent been too impressed about Digipix ltd- that is Iberostar Grand Rose Hall's photographer of choice.  Choices Choices Choices!

Hi Ladies,

I am having a hard time deciding -- I need to know from past brides that had a videographer if anyone felt that they were too intrusive? I have been stressing a little over this and really need your help. I want to have the video for the fact that so many can't make the wedding (especially his family) but at the same time I dont' want them to be noticed or feel that they take away from the romance/ ambiance of the ceremony etc... Thoughts please?? Also has anyone ever used Marcia Roberts videographer? I am pretty darn excited that we just booked with her...such a fabulous lady!

Thanks!!

Kdoyle,

I am planning my 2nd (and final :)) wedding right now.  My first wedding was a local (Kentucky) wedding and I had a videographer and a photographer.  My ex and I watched our wedding video a million times and truly treasured it.  Our videographer wasn't intrusive at all and really captured the emotions of the day.  I can't promise all videographers will deliver a great product and not be intrusive but I know I really valued my video and found it as a way to reconnect to that day.
