Dad is Missing In Action - Who walks me down the Aisle?

Recommended Posts

My mother is walking me down the aisle. She has played my mother and father for 27 years so I feel it's only right.

I always like the saying "of all the walks we've taken, this is my favorite", maybe incorporate that into the question, maybe engraved on something they love? I think it is whoever means the most, even both of them to walk you down!

Have both :) I know how you feel trying to decide myself who I should have or should I just walk alone...choice between my mom who has been both mom/dad to me BUT has bad legs and will possibly have a difficult time walking down the aisle OR have my kids walk me down the aisle (ages 17, 15 & 1yr) who are all part of my wedding already....oh I hate trying to decide :(

My twins will be walking me down the aisle. My step-father will be attending but he gave me away last time and this time around I want my boys to do it. (They will be 9). I say if your grandpa makes it- have him join your uncle in walking you!

I am all for tradition in most cases, but whoever you choose to walk you down the aisle is up to you. It should be meaningful to you and the ones walking you down the aisle. It is sad that your father is missing out on it, but you seem to have people around you that care. Cherish them and be happy on your special day!
