Church or Chapel Wedding in DR?

Hi ladies! This forum is amazing and has already been so much help. Now that I have FINALLY decided on a destination, I'm trying to decide on which resort would be best. One thing that I’m kind of concerned about is I haven’t found much information at all (pictures/brides/ect.) on getting married in a church or chapel in the Dominican Republic. I’ve searched on Google and on this forum and still no luck. If anyone has any advice or information on this, please let me know.

Hello Ladies!!

 

Only Magestic and Barcelo Bavaro Beach Resort (Palace and Beach Adults Only have church chapel on site, but the priest can held the ceremony in a garden or gazebo far to the beach or pool. 

 

Hard Rock Hotel is beautiful, but is far from everywhere. No church close to the property.

 No, I ended up going with Majestic Elegance. Wedding date is March 27 2014. We are having our ceremony at the gazebo followed by a private reception.

There are two churches that can be used. Jesus Maestro is about 15 minutes from Majestic Elegance and Nuestra Señora del Pilar is about 30 minutes from ME. (That's the resort I'm staying at so not sure what the time would be for other resorts).You should be able to speak with your wedding coordinator if you want either of these churches and they will work out the date with the church. I am actually getting married at the second one.
