Flow of reception/no dj

Recommended Posts

A DJ at our resort is min 1,500 for only 2 hours... No Thank you! We are renting speakers, an IPod doc, and a microphone for about $150/hour. My brother will be making announcement for us. Hopefully he can be serious for two seconds (a little worried...). Excited to try that app everyone had mentioned above

Wow he had better be a top 40 hit DJ for that cost.

I hired an off resort DJ for this reason! Even with the Palace vendor fee, we're getting a lot more hours and extras (lighting, etc.) for under the price of the resort ones

That's crazy! I'd say it's worth having your brother make announcements and using an iPod for sure.

I'll be using my resort's DJ - it's about $1,000 for 3 hours and additional $280 for each additional hour

Even if you're paying both its still sooooooo much cheaper than what most are paying!!

I'm going to assume it's because it's not a real DJ more a resort staff member. I read up on using their services and no real complaints so works for us.  We plan to have music on an ipod if we don't like what he is playing, but the hotel has requested what music we want them to play at the reception. Here is to hoping! I am pretty laid back with that type of thing, it's not hard to ask them to change up the music if you don't like it :)
