Hello Fellow Brides!

This forum has been a lifesaver, and I'm super thankful to all the other brides who posted tutorials on their own invites or DIY projects. For our invitations, I took some inspiration from two other brides and their invites.:

Originally, I really loved the passport and boarding pass styles, but my future MIL wasn't thrilled with them. I also decided that I wanted a more 'traditional' invite with a destination/tropical theme that wasn't too over the top.

This is my first time posting pictures, so please bear with me and I apologize if they are huge.

We started our project with the envelopes, for which we purchased a custom return address stamp. We have even repurposed the stamp already for our Christmas cards. It was a great purchase, and the etsy seller was fast to respond.

Early on, I understood that I am not the most crafty bride so I would be purchasing the pocketfolds instead of making them. I purchased the pocketfolds from:

I decided to do a plain front, but tie the whole thing with raffia and starfish charm.

Here's how the inserts came out: I purchased all paper from paperandmore.com (who had FANTASTIC customer service when our box was damaged in shipping by USPS)

We also had a wedding magnet created for guests to put on their fridge which I will post later.

Here is our RSVP tied with  cute twine from The Twinery which we can repurpose for things like the wedding programs and OOT bags.

And the finished project after many hours of love:

Our guests have LOVED them and I'm so happy they had such a great response so far.

Great job! Did you print the invites yourself or take them to a printer and cut them as well? I'm about to embark on the invites and am so nervous. There's a HUGE cost savings to us if I make and cut out the pocketfolds myself vs. buying them pre-made. We are at a budget busting point so I have to suck it up!

Thanks! I cut them myself. But..I couldn't get the cuts right at first, so I actually printed little dots as a "frame" to cut along with the paper cutter. I used a Fiskars brand cutter I got at Michaels for 40% off. I  basically bought the pocketfolds and envelopes, and printed/designed/assembled myself to save. It was still way cheaper than having someone else do everything, especially with all the embellishments. :)
