I'M ENGAGED !!!

 

I am so excited to start exploring this website! My boyfriend of 4.5 years proposed to me on December 26th night - I am still so excited and happy!

 

Although we do not have many details - we are hoping to have a wedding in February 2014 - In Mexico.

 

We are looking at the Cancun area - however have not decided on a resort. We are planning a trip to Cancun this February 2013.

 

Any brides have any advice on a resort in the Cancun area to have our wedding

We are hoping to have a budget for our guests around 1000 - 1300 per person.

 

Any advice on anything to do with a destination wedding would be so helpful!

 

Looking forward to getting to know all the brides and helping each other plan our dream wedding!!!!

Congratulations! I am also looking to get married in Cancun in 2014. I found that Cancun has the best looking beach out of other places in Mexico (top must haves). My choices were between the Dreams Cancan and Gran Caribe Real. I went with the Gran Caribe Real because of their chapel. You should check it out! It's budget friendly also! If you have are not working with a Travel Agent you should. They are of great help as well! Good luck and happy planning

Congrats to the Christmas brides of 2012!

 

While the beaches of Cancun are nice, don't skip seeing Tulum, or some of the spots near Playa del Carmen.

 

Getting a travel agent who is experienced with destination weddings AND doing a site visit are very smart moves.

Congratulations on your engagement )  I am also newly engaged, on Christmas Eve my boyfriend of almost 8 years finally popped the question. We will probably not get married until Feb 2015 on our 10yr anniversary but I can't help myself from starting the planning process already...lol...guess I am just a little excited!!
