Jamaica Wedding? Help!!

Recommended Posts

Dear Brides!!!

Congratulations to you all =) My fiance and I have been researching destination weddings and have really fell in love with Jamaica! Can you ladies give me some of the best most beautiful places? here are some of my MUST HAVES:

Children must be able to attend

No wedding factory places (3 or more weddings a day)

must have beach ceremony/reception available

BUDGET!!!

We are getting married in the summer of 2014.  I have always wanted to get married on the beach. This past summer, Hurricane Sandy really hit our Jersey Shore hard and alot of the venues are gone.  More importantly our beaches are a MESS.  so, destination wedding here we come! I hope someone here can point us in the right direction!

Congrats on your engagement. You had the same must haves as me. Children and one wedding a day landed me at the Iberostar Suites. Though I've heard the beaches in Negril are better than Montego just couldn't find a place there that had my must haves! Happy planning!

Welcome Lauren2014!!!!!

I am also a Jamaica Bride!!! Im not sure what your budget is or what their prices are like but i hear Sunset at the palms is really nice and because its much smaller (i think only about 80 rooms) they are definately not a wedding factory. And they do have a beach and kids are allowed.

Im getting married at tensing pen resort. Its a 22 rooms boutique hotel with 1 wedding a week, but its not and all inclusive if that what your looking. Its also on the cliffs so no barefoot in the sand ceremony, but a on the cliffs overlooking the reef ceremony lol

I had those same requirements, and also wanted an all-inclusive resort. Like Animo, I chose the Iberostar in Montego Bay. We went with the Beach resort simply for the cost factor. I was trying to keep the price at or below $1500/person for a week (air, hotel, all-inclusive). And when we priced it out it was around $800 or so extra to stay at the Suites and we decided to use that money elsewhere. There are going to be guests coming that haven't traveled internationally before, so I didn't want to give them any extra stress by having to worry about a long drive to and from the airport. That's another reason we chose Montego Bay.
