LOVE you're dress. I have tried a few on but wanted the high low style with ruffles on the bottom and haven't been able to find in store yet. Found 2 online I love so have to track down bridal shops which carry them or at least teh same designer to find out my size.

 

Currently on wedding diet and already lost 6 lbs now only 19 more to go. LOL   Then its time for my real dress shopping.

WHAT!!!! I cannot believe that you got that dress for 300$ thats insane!!!!!!! Such a beautiful dress! I am kind of looking for a style similar to that with the dropped waist and then a little pouff at the bottom! But then I sometimes lean towards a chiffon-y flowy beachy dress... so I guess it will be good to go try some on and get an idea of what looks the best on me! I've been having nightmares that the lady didn't bring me anything I liked and was so sad after the appointment... I think it was because I had found a few online that I liked and none of the shops I am going to carry the samples of those ones... I think I need to just stop looking online and see what they have in the shop and go from there! Anyway I will update after the weekend and let you know if I have found anything!

And do you know if there is like a "gala" set up where they use the white chair covers etc? I know at the Laguna Azul they charge 15 CUC pp for this. Oh man I really hope that she doesnt change the price on me without letting me know, but I have it in an email so I am going to stay positive!

 

The dinner isnt private at all it is at 6:30 in one of the ala carte's so there is an option to have I guess the "dance" part of the reception after dinner which is private, the choices are the pool bar or the beach bar, they serve drinks and play music and you can party there after dinner! it is optional though... I know that we went to a DW a few years ago and after dinner they had nothing planned dinner was over at 8 and that was that, so I wanted to make sure that we could keep the party going for a little while after dinner without just choosing a bar that we could meet at, this will give me another 2 hours in my dress if I want and then everyone can choose what they want to do from there... disco? bed? whichever!

that may be the deal of the centry... I know that alterations cost an arm and a leg, I am very thankful that I am so tall becuase I wont have to have mine altered.

 

here it is, the model not me.

It should be in at the end of the month.

 

It is my birthday on Monday and my mom thinks that it will be in this week to surprise me... LOL I am not holding my breath but I am really excited to get it! Feels like I have been waiting for ever!

Yeah hopefully if you have it in "writting" they will give it to you for that price. And wow that sounds awesome though having the reception at one of the bars afterwards! Sounds fun! I requested quotes for the three resorts I am looking at so I am just waiting to hear back! I can't wait to make a final decision! I agree that having something planned after the dinner is the best way to go otherwise I feel people will just wander and I mean 11 is a good end time because, like you said, you can go to the disco or you might even just want to go to bed!

Jolene your dress is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!! I love it! Thats kind of the style I am going for... well hopefully hahha we'll see what that style of dress ends up looking like on me. I love the bottom of it, it reminds me of waves!

Oh one more question.... how early did you guys buy your dress? My wedding isn't til next May but I am going dress shopping this weekend. It feels like its so early to buy it, but I am just so excited I can't wait to go!

I went in November so a year before, which I think is ok... I will have the dress this month and then if any alterations need to be done, I think that it is ok to go, but if you buy stop shopping or you will wind up with buyers remorse.
