Kerala, in the South of India is known as ‘Godâ€s Own Countryâ€. It has earned this title due to its evergreen beauty, natural sceneries, pleasant climate, cool hill stations and the varied types of animals and birds that live in this place. It is a famous destination for holiday trips, tours and honeymoon visits.

Among the many places in Kerala Munnar tourism has developed greatly over the past few years. There are a large number of visitors to this place every year. It is one of the most famous hill stations in Kerala and is located in the Idukki district. Everybody is attracted to this place due to its scenic beauty, breathtaking greenery and calm environment. Munnar is situated at the confluence of the three rivers Madurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. It also has one of the worldâ€s best tea estates and one can catch a glimpse of the never ending tea estates at this place. It is an important commercial center for tea.

One of the tourist attractions in this place is the Power house waterfalls. It is situated 18 kms from Munnar. The Power house Water falls Area is the 2000mts high waterfalls from the Western mountain ranges on the way to Thekkady. People can visit this place on their way to the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

Observatory hills is one of the other famous destinations in Munnar. As the name suggests, it is a point from where one can spot the planets and the other celestial bodies. Many people are attracted to this place due to the cool climate and the clear sky.
