Please tell me I'm not crazy!!

So I have been drooling over this Jim Hjelm dress for prob 6mths or more... well before my FI actually proposed! lol! I submitted a request on Vows Bridal Outlet site a week ago or so to have them let me know if this dress came in because I could not afford the almost $4k pricetag that it normally retails for. I could not believe it when I got an email in my inbox yesterday saying that it came in... and in my size and color, and in my budget!!!

 

So... after talking with the consultant over the phone and getting the dress measurements, i decided to buy it without trying it on. Am I crazy for doing this??? They do have a great return policy, where if it doesn't fit I can send it back and I only lose the shipping, but I am having a small panic attack that I spent so much money on a dress I haven't even tried on!   Has anyone else ever done this??

Not crazy at all! If you can return it if it doesn't fit then loosing out on shipping charges is a low risk for your dream dress. Let us know when you get it!

It's a gorgeous gown, and your def not crazy. I think lots of brides will try on something similar in shape and make sure that the type of gown is flattering, and then order one that is similar. I'm sure you'll be happy when it comes in. It's stunning!!

I'd do it too, even if the return policy wasn't that great, you could always sell it

Thanks ladies... makes me feel a lot better knowing that others would do the same! I love it so much, fingers crossed it fits and looks great on! Ill post when it comes in! ))

Your not crazy!! I did the same thing. I fell in love with a Maggie dress online and couldn't find a sample anywhere. After trying on many other Maggie dress in the same shape I decided to go ahead and by the one online and I love it. I came in and it's amazing!

I thought I would post an update since I received my dress. It's so beautiful I can hardly stand it... can't wait to wear it!!! And it fits! I HIGHLY recommend Vows Bridal store. When I called for information on the gown, after they emailed me that it was in, they were so helpful with providing exact measurements and very friendly/ They even refunded my shipping when I decided to keep it. I saved so much money by ordering from them, it was an awesome deal! Anyways, here's a pic...
