I have to be honest when I was reading your comment I was thinking "without" cause this dress is gorgeous on its own, but when I saw the photo with the applique I was even more WOW'd!!! This dress is absolutely gorgeous! And I think the applique makes it look more complete and have more of an "umpf" factor as you put it! I say without hesitation "Applique, all the way!"

So I am going to add to your confusion... sorry... I like both, but I much prefer without. I just think the dress speaks so much for itself, and when it is on, my eyes are on the applique, not the gorgeous shape of the dress.

I agree I like without the applique. What about adding a bling sash to accentuate your waist line?

You look awesome! It is so flattering on you! I personally like it better without the applique. However, I think a bling-y belt/sash would add some sparkle!

OMG I love this dress too. I tried it as well it is in my 2nd try on group. All the dresses i picked out had bling the sales attendant brought this to me as her choice. Your right it is beautiful plain. She added a belt so I could see with bling and it was more beautiful. Surprisingly it wasn't even as expensive but just as beautiful as the others. Sorry Im going on. You can't go wrong either way. You look amazing in it

I agree I like both but my favorite is without. You want peoples eyes to focus up not on the applique

but i am not a fan of it....something about it makes my upper torso part look "stumpy" (i'm weird I know)...

here's another pic of a flower type of applique:

i think it's cute .....and it doesnt over do on the bling.....

I agree I don't like the belt nearly as much. The flower applique is ok but personally I prefer the other applique or plain. Hopefully we'll actually help you make a decision! But just know whatever you chose you will look amazing!

First of all, the dress looks completely stunning on you.  That said, I much prefer the dress without the applique.  Without the applique, you can see the lines of the dress more clearly.  For some reason, the dress works very well with the off-center design when plain, but when the applique is added, it throws things off, in my opinion.  Either way, you'll look amazing!

Allie, the dress is beautiful on its own.  I think we all have a different opinion so you need to do what you like and the look that you're going for.  The applique is nice but it pulls the eye down, but a gorgeous necklace will balance out the bling.  I like the flower belt the best but it is a more simple look.  Whatever you decide it will be beautiful.  It's a great dress and compliments you wonderfully.  Go for what YOU like best!!
