Gia- we hired DJ Ivan of Doreemixx- I haven't seen a single bad review about him- or anyone else from Doreemixx - plus you don' t have to pay an outside vendor if you go with them. I don't know what to do about a videographer- I would really love to have a good one- they are just so expensive! I was considering doing that weddingflick thing where you hand out cameras to people and they can record stuff, then you send them back to the company and they edit it... I'm just not sure how the quality of that would be either.... A trio comes with my package- so I am using that during my cocktail hour!!!

Safety- are they charging you a fee for sending in your own cake design??

When are you guys having your guests RSVP by? I don't know how long is too far in advanced... but I would like to be able to start putting together welcome bags and know how much to expect to pay! haha!

No, I'm not getting charged but it's really not my own design, it's just a variation of one of the designs they already offer.  I just wanted to tweak it a bit.

My wedding is June 24, 20123 and my RSVPs were due March 31, 2013.  We had a couple people change their plans after that date but for the most part everyone was booked by then.

Hi girls!

Safety - thank you for all the info!

Are any of you girls hiring a videographer?  I wasn't impressed the resort videographer and I feel like expenses are adding up...I thought about not hiring one but then I would hate to regret it late on...Advice??

I am with you. Keep in mind the resort charges $350 for any outside vendors. I contacted a few and they are all in the 1.5 K range for 6 hrs of filming and videoclip, (plus the $350 vendor fee). If you know of any company charging less than that. Let me know.

Has anyone looked into that Wedflik or Weddit company where you get a couple video camera's from them (those flip cameras) and you give them to people to record stuff, and then send it in for editing? I was thinking that could be an option to avoid paying the vendor fees- I'm just not sure how the quality would turn out for those either... I would love to have a videographer as well- they are just so expensiiiiive! Also ladies! I just talked to my travel agent- and she told me that the Royal usually has a winter sale in june or july!!! I've been telling my guests so they can figure out how long they want to go for so when it is on sale they will be able to get rooms when they are the cheapest!!
