Sister for Maid of Honor

Hi Ladies! I was hoping one of you creative ladies could help me....

 

My sister and I are 2 1/2 years apart and are best friends. When I got engaged it wasn't even a question who my maid of honor would be. We are having a small wedding party, just 2 bestmen on his side (he can't decide on just one) and my sister as my MOH on my side. I never even thought twice about not "officially" asking my sister b/c it was just so obvious that she would be my MOH. The other day she said something to me about never asking her to be my MOH. She was halfway joking but it made me start thinking and I feel so bad for not coming up with a cute, unique way to ask her to stand beside me! Even though I've been engaged almost a year, is it too late to give her a little something cute to ask her? If not, can you all give me some ideas for a cute, non-expensive way to do it?

Awww sweet.  This may not be creative enough for you, but I think sending flowers would be really sweet.  That, or a  really nice, heartfelt card?
