Sunset Cruise day before the wedding as a group activity?

I looked into doing a private catamaran for 40 guests, they include open bar and a light lunch...they stop for snorkelling, fishing and at the end for a swim. It will cost aprox $2400, which I would love to just pay for everyone...but is it wrong to just suggest it as an activity to do and our guests pay their own way if they are interested?

First of all I a a travel agent, why wouldn't you work with one instead of guessing and taking a chance on something you have little knowledge in on such an important day. The best way to do the cruise is when you invite guest to pay for rooms, and air, if,you put together some type of group air discount package, which an agent negotiates for you, and will send them the package information. , Have on the bottom of the package info optional tours, cruise with the price, golf, tour to lovers beach etc. and cost. This way you will get an idea on what your guest want to do, and are willing to pay for it. You still will have some type of get together. You could also negotiate just the liquor tab.

Your best way to do a wedding or rehearsal cruise, is contact a wedding planner or travel agent, I a a travel agent and yes to all the younger generation x, hipsters we do exisit. You do not get the best deals on the Internet, they are third party vendors, agents, wedding planners etc have negotiation skills you don't have, plus the experience. We don't charge, and get paid commission for the hotels, vendors, etc. but we don't sell it to you for the money, we sell it to you for repeat business. They know the best tour companies, who is reliable, are you going to give your money to capt jack, and never see him again ,word to the wise, use a professional. We don't do your job, don't do ours.
