June 2013 brides- what are you doing?

Anyone else about to freak out over RSVPs?  I am so annoyed, I can't even tell you.  We do still have a week left before the deadline, but we only have responses from like half our guest list.  And that's including a ton of people who didn't send the card back but have booked flights and such.  WHY are people so rude?!  I know everyone complains about this so I shouldn't be so surprised, I just expected more from my friends.  Super super obnoxious.  I almost can't wait until March 1st has come and gone so I can start hounding people.

I've stared on my menus, programs, luggage tags & escort cards. The only thing I have completed are my bubble tags for the ceremony. I think I can finally start shopping for my oot bags now that I have a basic head count. Ill order my chair sashes & table runners soon as well!

Oooohhh.. & I received my wedding shoes in the mail today... Love them!

We're in the same boat...we actually asked that our RSVP's be mailed back by 2/15 and that deposits are made by March 1st (even though they really don't need to be done until mid-April) but we are still waiting on more then half the RSVPs

 

Don't people need to do some planning for a trip to Mexico? Even if they don't they should know that I need to do some planning for the wedding they're going to there!!

I understand! Our deadline is march 15. We sent out about 150 invites and have only received about 15 back. I'm just like whatever, if you don't send it back I'll assume you are not coming. And I don't mind when people book & don't send it back, at least I know they are coming. I have decided I will not track people down to ask them. I refuse! :-)

I understand, AGM04! I agree with Shannon- though. Don't let it stress you out. I, too, refuse to track people down. Our deadline is March 15 as well and I figure if they don't RSVP that means they aren't coming. If they book a room and don't send the RSVP... oh well. As annoying as that it, at least it still gives me a headcount. It seems rude, but I have planned plenty of events and hosted a lot of different parties, and for some reason that is just the way ppl are... :/ Don't take it personally. I haven't even gotten RSVP's from my MOH and bridesmaid even though I know they are OBVIOUSLY coming. Whatever... it is what it is. 

 

Just enjoy your planning! It will all come together

I agree don't stress! I sent out about 75 invites and have literally received about six RSVP's. Oh well. My TA does keep me updated weekly if people even reach out to her to book and obviously if they do. But I do understand the frustration- I am trying to order my welcome bag contents right now and the little kits and meds are one thing, but the bigger items that are more expensive I would rather just know the number so I dont over or under spend. (especially items that I cannot order later/personalized/ or go out of stock).  I'm going through that with a bm right now who refuses to even answer my questions about her coming to the wedding or not. So im just going to assume she isnt coming and last week I got started on ordering my bm gifts. Not going to let it stress me out!
