Bringing it all to Mexico

Recommended Posts

Wow some good info here! We were planning to each bring an extra suitcase and pay the extra luggage fee since it would be cheaper than shipping. We also have my son so that makes 3 extra. Then our in-laws can carry 1 each so hopefully I can divide everything up into luggage and receipts etc. Yikes!

I might be freaking out way to much on this receipt thing! How important ate they to have?! I've gotten a lot of my decorations second hand so there is no receipts!!!

I have finger starfish that have no receipt and shells with none. My wedding favors are shot glasses and tumblers that's I hoy at the dollar store and did up myself. The dollar store receipt just gives a total not what items!

Am I freaking out to much over this?

From my understanding it's just the gifts. They want receipts and an explanation 'I'm getting married and these are for our guests' as they don't want you selling them in Mexico. I think you are fine :)

If you have a lot of one thing in your decor items I might bring the receipt just in case. But I think it's more the personal items in bulk (OOT) I'd bring receipts for.

There is a fantastic page I posted yesterday in a 'newbie' thread on Mexico's custom restrictions, etc which is worth a read. I can't post it now as I'm On my phone
