Planning a Budget - What are the rates?

Recommended Posts

Planning a budget for a destination wedding. I have not picked a resort yet and I was wondering if any Brides to Be or Wives would be able to give me any tips or suggestions on how to plan a wedding budget? I wanted to also asked what you all paid for your weddings at different Cancun / Riviera Maya resorts?

Some questions:

What was your rate?

What did guests have to pay?

What was the wedding costs?

How much did you spend on invitations and STD?

How much did the OOT bags cost?

Was cocktail, dinner, drinks additional charge? How much?

Flowers, cake, decorations extra cost?

Any little budget information about the resort you chose would help alot in creating a budget and also choosing my wedding resort :)

Thank you all so much! I appreciate all this information so much!

Hi!

As photographer, I can tell you that some resorts request a fee for any external provider you will choose. It is not very fair because you will have a to pay if you donâ€t like what the hotel proposes,

So  before choosing  a resort, ask for the external provider policy and check what they propose!

To choose a location for your wedding, visit as well My blog : I have sorted photo-galleries by resort and beach club all along the Riviera Maya.

Hola tulumbride2013, and Congrats! on your wedding coming up :) I agree with Pierre - it's a good idea to check the outside vendor policies of the resort you're considering. We always encourage our brides to spend the extra money it takes for a professional photographer to capture their magical wedding "moments that matter"!

Too often the resort's in-house photographer (that comes with the pkg) is not well trained - or equipped - or capable of doing the job you would like to have done - to commemorate this irreplaceable + priceless day - starting off your lives together!

Here's an excerpt from our website FAQ....explaining this question in detail ......with more at our website link here: http://momentsthatmatterphotography.com/faqs.html

  1) Why should I hire a professional wedding photographer?   Some couples are lured by the low cost of having friends or family members take photos of their day. Almost everyone knows a bride that has been upset by their wedding photographs. This is the reason we became interested in this art. We have known too many couples who have been less than satisfied with the final outcome of their “uncle Joes†photos. Photography can be very stressful for a guest. Your friends and family would like to come enjoy your destination wedding with you. Invite them to share your day instead of stressing about your photography. Let me take that responsibility for this task. Another perk that a professional can deliver that most of your guests likely cannot, is post digital editing. I digitally enhance every one of your images for better color and composition. Examples of this can be found on my  website. Professional computer programs and skills are also required for such digital effects. Many destination brides will say that the most important images are those of the newly wed couple. Once the family/group photos are completed, we bring the couple around the resort to various locations for their romantic photo shoot. The wedding couple is rarely used to posing for the camera. We will be there to guide you in order to create beautiful natural images. "UncleJoe" may not have the expertise it takes to lead these portrait sessions. Your wedding is the most important day in your relationship. Professional wedding photographers have experience capturing the Moments that Matter! We have photographed many weddings and are well prepared for each important moment of your entire day. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~   Hope all your plans turn out just the way you wish, and you have the most amazing wedding celebration Ever!
