Are you bringing your own sound system with you?

Hello ladies! I'm a newbie and am just overwhelmed with how fabulous this site is. There is so much to go through and read - I'm really excited. We are getting married next September at the Excellence Punta Cana and I've read here how some brides have brought their own sound system for their ipods. I think that would suit us too - it's about $600 for 3 hours use of the Excellence's sound system which is a bit steep so this may be the best option.

 

My concern is that usually sound systems are heavy! Does anyone have any suggestions on brand/ type of speaker? I've heard Bose are good.

Bose are good but do tend to be pricey. I think a lot of women just bring a standard iPod speaker dock ...if there's not a lot of guests I wouldn't think sound would be an issue, depending on how big your reception space is:)

Yea, I think a regular iPod speaker should be fine. I don't want something too heavy!!
