Hello Brides!

In the early stages of planning my destination wedding. We are thinking in the Cancun area in Mexico. I have looked at so many resorts and reviews however I am undecided! How can I possibly choose the right location!!! How did you all choose your location?

Hello Bride to beABCD!

Welcome to the forum and Congrats on your nuptial, As wedding planner in the  Riviera Maya, I agree we have many beautiful resort, beach clubs and villas and sometimes it can get overwhelming. I always advice my brides the best way to choose your resort, ask yourself the following questions.

What do you expect your location to offer?

Are you looking for an all inclusive resort?

Does it have to be family friendly?

Do you want to be closer to town, night life and shops?

Are you open to having your wedding at a non resort location?

What budget do you have in mind for your guests to pay for their entire stay?

Narrow your options down to 3, then if you planning to come down for an inspection it would be easier. If not then have a TA to get you all the information on your top 3 then make your decision.

BDW has lots of  helpful information and we are all here to help.

Feel free to ask me anything and I will be happy to help.

Happy Planning!

Joyce

hello bridetobe,

In my experience some hotels (all inclusive offer us a lot of benefits if 75% of your total guest stay with them).

European hotels they will charge you the menu of the banquet per person so they dont care where the relatives are staying.

If you choose a location (this option for me was expesier) also you dont care where the people is staying but some times you need to consider the transportation of all your guest to the place and back.

Hope this help you.

COngrats!!!

Ale
