Wedding Advice

Ladies,

I am getting married at the Gran Bahia Jamaica on November 14, 2013. I am new to this site so ANY and ALL advice would be very helpful and much appreciated.

We are booked through a travel agent and seem to be having a problem sometimes getting answers from the wedding coordinater down there and if she does respond it isn't with the answer relating to the question we asked.

Hi Dena! I had to reply as I'm getting married at the Gran Bahia Principe in Jamaica on November 15th, 2013!! So I guess we'll see you there!!

I'm also new to the site, but I've been frequenting it since we decided on a destination wedding. I've only had a few email exchanges with the resort, to confirm my date and package and th details I currently have (like where on the resort, etc)... Other than the fact that they initially booked my wedding for the 19th (we leave Jamaica on the 16th!!) I haven't had many issues with getting answers back. Usually within a day or two.

We also booked our trip through a travel agent, and have 10 booked, but very possibly 30-40 coming (those are the yes's we've unofficially received.)

I'm very excited. I picked my dress last Thursday, so it's all becoming REAL now!

I am getting married at the Moon Dance Villas and I have in many ways had the same issues as have other brides. Island time is a different thing and we are not used to such a relaxed approach to something so significant in out lives unless the service is poor. Some brides have shared that in hindsight really the focus was on the immediate brides and they were given overly superior distracted service nearer the wedding, where as here in the states everything is a multi task....
