How did the weather fare for your destination wedding?

Hey ladies! I recently posted an article on BDW about the best time of the year to get married in different popular locations (forgive my shameless self promotion, read it here!) and was wondering how all you brides who have been there, done that fared at their destination wedding? Was the weather on your side?

A good friend of mine got married this past July 14th in Napa Valley (one of the location on the list) and the weather was gorgeous! I expected it to be a little warmer, and it did get pretty hot, but luckily their ceremony started at 6:30pm so it was past the worst of the heat.

Hi!

Loved your article. As a future bride starting to plan a Caribbean wedding, I was just starting to ask myself about timing - so thank you for your article!

I haven't seen anything like this - so I hope other brides read your article to make sure they aren't planning in the midst of hurricane season!

Thanks again!

I'm keeping my finger crossed for my October wedding in Dominican Republic lol I knew before hand that it was 'hurricane season' but we decided to take the risk anyways ;) The worst that could happen would be an actual hurricane on my wedding week but hey, wouldn't that wedding remembered forever and give pretty unique pictures ? lol

Thanks for the article ;)

I’ve gone to two destination weddings, one in Panama and one in DR (the first in May, the second one in April). Gorgeous warm weather during both visits but ironically every time, it rained just in time for the receptions in the evening! Still, fantastic weather experiences, fingers crossed it’s the same for mine.
