I just booked HDC photography for my wedding April 17, 2015. I am excited I have them booked. I am going with the Diamond Plus Package which I think is a good price for what you get. The only downfall though is the $1000 copyright fee I have to pay to the resort at Melia Caribe. Urgh. I was also told I could book a 3 night stay for the photography and it waives the $1000 fee which will most likely be cheaper. I am hoping it would be considering it kills me to pay the resort $1000 just to let the photography there to take the pictures for the day. Have any of you girls booked the 3 night stay in order to waive the $1000 photography fee. If so, how much would it roughly cost for the 3 night stay?

From the very beginning the service was awesome. The got back to my initial inquiry very quickly. They showed up at the resort on time. The photographer was really nice and very knowledgeable. He put at ease as we were taking the pictures and got a ton of really good shots. If you're getting married definitely use HDC PHOTOS!!!

Deciding on booking HDC for our Oct 20/2014 wedding @ the Majestic Elegance, PC. There is an outside vendor fee of $300 though!

I agree with everyone that HDC Huellas del Caribe is the best. My husband and I got married at Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe on May 8, 2014. The main reason why we loved HDC is that we had the best photographer named Milan. He is very creative. You can tell he tries to envision something and makes it happen. He is professonal to work with yet has a great sense of humor. Our guests were also very impressed of him, and he was great with taking pics lf my 4 year old twin nephews. I believe he has been doing photography for 14 years if not longer. It was also very easy to communicate with Arnaud of HDC and I sent him my photoshoot list and pinterest ideas, so HDC knew what we wanted and they made it happen. HDC offered a great variety of packages for video and photo, and they offered extras like trash the dress, and they cost a lot less than the photographer/videographer from the resort. Our videographer was Manuel. He was also very nice and always smiling. Also gave us ideas on what to do to make the video look good. The raw footage of the wedding turned our great. We're just waiting for the highlight video. We got our photos and raw video 3 days later Overall, I highly recommend HDC. Thank you for capturing all our wedding memories!

and Barcelo Palace Deluxe charged us $1000 vendor fee but it HDC still turned out to be less costly than the resort photo/video. I think the cheaper way is to get the photographer/ videographer a 3 nights stay at the resort bc at BBPD, nightly rates can be $110 per night vs the $1000. Also HDC gives an extra hour bc they want to help out since they know the resort's outside vendor fees are steep. We loved our trash the dress shoot as well that Milan did. HDC is worth it!

What can I say about HDC - WOW!! My husband and I got married at Paradisus Palma Real (+ dinner/entertainment at Jellyfish) in May and were considering different photo companies serving the area. We made the right choice with HDC. From the beginning Arnaud was professional and prompt with communication, answering all my questions and replying to emails within 24 hours... often times right away or within a few hours. This reassurance and professionalism gave me peace of mind and made contracting with this company easy. Then there was the photographer - MILJAN VASOVIC... omg AMAZING!!! We love him!!! Our wedding was a small family affair, and Miljan captured all the emotions, special moments and joy of our entire day/night. From the time Miljan arrived for the getting ready session he was ON IT - clicking away, beautifully arranging rings, dress, shoes, etc. and giving our small group much needed direction. My family and friends rave at his beautiful artistic shots and the way he captured awesome shots of all of us. At the resort, Miljan knew EXACTLY where to go, where the best places for photos were and posed us in ways that were just AWESOME at those places. With great energy, confidence, experience and knowledge, he took fabulous shots of us with our families and led my husband and I for "couple" sessions at the resort, in the garden and on the beach. We have such awesome photos of our ceremony, dinner, toasts, crazy hour.. everything! On top of it all, Miljan was so nice and personable, our families thought he was awesome and it truly was a pleasure working with him. We are IN LOVE with our photos. We knew that the pictures would be amazing just based on how how Miljan was working, but when actually saw them (Arnaud brought them to us only TWO days later! amazing!) we were beyond happy. We relive the moments and emotions of that day through those beautiful shots - they truly are lifetime treasures, beautifully captured memories of our special day. Our families and friends are very impressed with them. We paid the obnoxious $1000 vendor fee that the resort imposes, but it was worth it. HDC is one of the best choices we made for our wedding!!

Previous brides that booked HDC, did you have to send them any deposits before the wedding or just paid in full once there?

Just found out we have to send a deposit to secure our booking with HDC, will be doing that soon
