How do you word your invitations after STDs have been sent?

Recommended Posts

I sent my STDs out a few months ago, with the date, resort name and travel agent info for people to start booking.

I am ready to send out my invitations, but have no idea how to word them.

It seems redundant to write, We request the pleasure of your company, or similar invite type phrases, since we have technically already requested that on the STD, by offering booking information.

I am thinking of something along the lines of, We are excited you have chosen to celebrate with us....

However, there are people who have yet to RSVP. I have already informally asked those people if they plan on coming 1-2 weeks ago, and still no response...

I obviously need to use the same wording on all the invites, but don't know how long I am willing to wait for these people!

Thoughts on wording?

I was having the same dilemma and found two really good websites. I'm not a fan of traditional wording and obviously not a fan of traditional weddings. Here's my favs along with the websites:

Warm ocean waves will do the clapping,

as our vows we say.

The bright, blue sky will be our canopy,

on our wedding day.

I love this website for wording advice. Even gives you help if you are doing an AHR.
