The Royal + Gran Porto Real / Playa del Carmen - help!

Hello fellow Real resort brides!  Looking for some input/feedback on the Royal Real and Gran Porto Real in Playa... We wanted to host our ceremony and reception at the Royal where we plan to stay for the wedding, but there are no open wedding locations on the date we are trying to book.  My travel agent suggested that we host the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception at the Gran Porto, even though most guests will be staying at the Royal.  The resort has agreed to allowing us to do so, but I'm somewhat concerned about the details... has anyone else out there had a similar situation?  I also can't find a ton online regarding locations at the Gran Porto - was thinking I would like to do ceremony in gazebo, cocktail hour outside gazebo and reception on beach.  Does anyone know which beach location is the most private?
