Hello I am new to this site and am in need of some help and suggestions for planning a wedding in Mexico. I have never been to Mexico so I am unfamiliar with the area and the resorts. I am looking to plan my wedding in November 2013 and would like to book a all inclusive resort that is reasonably priced and kid friendly. Any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated and if anyone has pics from previous weddings along with vendors I would love if you could please share. Thank you in advance for any and all help! Tiffanie

Hola TKD021! Welcome to the forums, you will find lots of helpful advice here. My two cents, some of my favorite venues and what I like about them (from a "photography" point of view):

The Royal PDC: One of the best. Their WC staff is just unbelievable: Denys, Michel, Luz, you choose! Right at the Heart of PDC. There are two piers in walking distance, very good for pictures. And don't forget the gazebo for wedding ceremonies!

Valentin Imperial: One of my favorites in the WC department, Ana or Ari will make your life easier. Several different locations for weddings/photos, like their amazing Gazebo/Chapel:

The Royal Tulum: Private, beautiful beach for weddings. Great WC staff. They have this rocky beach, great for photos, along with some other amazing in-resort locations, very colorful and quaint.

Hacienda Tres Rios: Big, luxurious and very friendly towards external vendors. Excellent WC staff. Their amazing beach has a long and beautiful pier, great for photos. Very close to PDC.

La Ceiba del Mar: Just some minutes from Cancun airport. The friendliest towards external vendors. Small and quaint, I just love it. It's on the small fishermen town of Puerto Morelos, which is also very good for pictures.

Le Reve: Small boutique hotel, very close to PDC, is quickly raising as a Premium destination for weddings, and its just some blocks away from where I live :)

That should get you going for a while :) Hope it helps!

Hello TKD021!

Ha, I guess I am in the same boat as you! I have just gotten engaged, I have just joined this forum, and the first post I read was yours...

I am also definitely getting married in Mexico, in the Riviera Maya. My fiance is Mexican, and we are looking for a perfect place, probably in Playa del Carmen, so that our guests can enjoy being in town and not be separated from the world in some jungle resort.

We come to Playa a lot, and we also love Tulum, so we are thinking of having our wedding in Playa, and our honeymoon in Tulum!

I have just started my research, even if I already have a few hotels in mind. If you want us to share what we find, I would be more than happy to!

Good luck planning your wedding!
