Any other 2014 brides here getting an early start?

Okay I have a little rant!  

 

Remember the picture I posted of the cute little sewing kits I bought and attached the safety pins to??

 

Well I hadn't finished attaching the safety pins at that time... I am just working on them now.  

 

I purchased 12 kits.

 

I now have to exchange 5 because they are broken and/or wont close (they are open when you buy them)

 

Out of the 7 I don't have to return only one is ready to go because the other 6 need the at least one of the handles on the scissors glued on so it doesn't slide off.    

 

I could just return those too but I have a feeling I will just have the same issue so I think in the long run it would be better to just put a dab of glue.  

 

Still - this is very annoying!!   I bought them at Michael's - so while cute... if you were thinking of getting them, be prepared to have to exchange a few.   (or had I known I would have bought a bunch extra and just returned the bad ones.)

So my "OMG" moment about this is - of course I can't just call them be like - oh btw we changed our minds will you be my BM/MOH - I need to do something special.

 

My thought for his brother is to figure out what his favorite drink is and get a bottle of that with a custom flask - or something like that!

Not sure about my friend yet.

I've been working on my MOH poem!  My friend got married a couple of years ago - I planned 95% of her wedding for her. .   we have "date nights" that we call "Cute Shoe Dinners" because we have so many cute shoes and no where to wear them!  I started this "Cute shoe dinner"  a few months before we had her bridal shower so that the day of the shower she thought we were doing one and was dressed nicely to come "meet me" (her only request for her shower was that I don't trick her by saying we are going to the gym or something and she looks like crap! haha) ... and since she just had her 2nd baby it's been a while sense we had one of our dinners....

 

 

Soooo... I can plan one with her and give her this that night!    

 

I love these glasses (almost did them for my STDs! but the FI didn't care as much for them)

 

 

and here is the new poem.  (I need to do it on two glasses because it is so long. . but a set of wine glasses is perfect - I think!)

My wedding is Sept 6 but I'm leaving on Sept 3rd from NYC
