:)) You are in for a treat! We go to Jamaica every chance we get!!  It is true that it is a poor country but the people are so genuine and kind.  As the commercials say, "once you go, you know".  We stay in contact with some of the resort staff that we have met and have invited them to our wedding.  You will love it for sure!
Oh yeah! That's amazing! Thanks! Do you know anything about the rui hotel ochio rid or the area? Thanks ☺☺☺☺☺

I have never been to the Riu but I believe there is alot of information on here about it.  Ochos Rios is a very nice area though and I'm sure you will be pleased. The best beaches are located in Negil, however I have found that prices are higher as well.  I thought about getting married at the Riu Palace in Negril but due to cost for my family I decided against it.

Hi ladies! I'm a newbie! From Scotland! Loving this forum! I'm 27 and just got engaged on our 10 year anniversary 😮 when on holiday in Oman at new year! I'm so excited to plan this wedding! Looking at April 2014 in jamaica - looking at rosehall, club rui in ochio rios and Bahia principe....... Want something affordable for friends and family so steering towards club rui ..... We are then heading to sandals for 3 nights for peace and quiet! Fancying the private pools and butler room if we can budget for it! All your plans sound amazing and your dresses are all unique and stunning! Congrats to you all! Happy planning!!! 😄😄😄😄😄😠x

Hi!  I was a BM for a wedding at the RIU Ocho Rios last year. Its a pretty large resort, the food was excellent and I heard the WC was great. The reception was supposed to be in the steakhouse but it was being repaired - so they upgraded us to the restaurant by the beach. The garden gazebo was beautiful but not private. The beach location was nice!

Thanks we have been reserving them slowly since September hoping and praying that no one else would think to book so far out. This is amazing because although out venue only does one venue a day this ensures we that their undivided attention for other events like rehearsal bonfire, day after lunch exc.
