NYC Newbie

Hi Everyone,  I'm a newbie from NYC and planning to get married 05.18.13 in Mexico.  However, I'm really torn between Los Cabos and Riviera Maya.  I've been to Los Cabos and absolutely Loved It!!!!  I just feel it's too inconvenient for my family and friends to travel all the way to Los Cabos from NYC without any direct flights.  I've never been to Riviera Maya but it looks beautiful.

I'm just wondering if there's anyone here that's been to both, Los Cabos and Riviera Maya.  Any comments would be greatly appreciated.  love.gif

Welcome!

I think you are going to be in a beautiful location regardless of which one you choose!

There are a lot of reviews on the site that might give you a better perspective of which one you have  preference for. While both are in Mexico, both cities have a different vibe, in my opinion. After you read some reviews, see pictures, etc - you can get some more insight on what other brides have done.

Good luck and congratulations!

Congrats on your engagement and on your decision to get married in Mexico. The two areas that you ask about are very different. Los Cabos is dry, a little on the desert side, surrounded by hills and the water temp there almost always requires a wet suit.

The Riviera Maya (where we live) has a more tropical, Caribbean feel. There are lots of palm trees; warm, clear Caribbean water, white sandy beaches and great Yucatecan and International cuisine.

We not only live here, we got married here, too.

Best of luck.

Michael
