Eloping with Toddlers??

Has anyone ever eloped with their small children? My fiance and I have two kids - ages 2 and 5. We are planning to get married in DR next year and we really love the idea of just the 4 of us being there. But now I'm wondering if we should invite a couple people just incase my 2 yr old decides not to sit through the ceremony, someone to hold him? .. Advice? :)

 I think it would be so sweet with just the 4 of you.  I think if you invite a couple people you will probably have to invite more then you want there.
