Hi girls!! My fiance and I have been planning our wedding for August 10, 2012, at Playacar Palace and we're very excited! It was hard for me to find information from real brides so I'm very happy I found this site!!

 

I wanted to get your opinions on some of the options they have there.  I thought having a destination wedding would be cheaper, but things aren't turning out that way.  We are having a symbolic ceremony on the beach and chose the Pearl Shimmer package, and then we are having our reception in the ballroom.  All of the decorations for the reception seem to be crazy overpriced so I have white table clothes and thats it so far.  They're charing almost $600 alone to use an ipod deck and speakers.  What did you girls do for the reception part?? We have between 35 and 40 guests coming, so having dinner in one of the resturants isn't an option for us.
