Hello All,

I must say I got all caught up in the posting that I forgot to introduce myself.   My sweetie and I selected 12/14/2013 as our special day at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas.  Iâ€ve been engaged since March and couldnâ€t seem to come up with an official date or plan, but Iâ€m definitely all smiles now.   Although I was a little apprehensive about having a destination wedding due to those not able to attend due to age and some with financial restrictions, I am now ecstatic with my decision.  I've spend many vacations in the Bahamas/Atlantis and it felt like the perfect place....maybe its the pisces in me...lol  Anyway, now Iâ€m here…needing all sorts of ideas and the dos and donts.  Happy planning ladies!  Nice to meet you all.

Hello!

I'm also a newbie! I've been stalking the site for about a month now and with my wedding 6 months away, (yay!)  I decided it's finally time to start posting.  I'm getting married on Carnival Sensation (embarkation day) on a cruise to the Bahamas. Maybe we can share some ideas! ( I have most of the welcome bags complete!)welcome1.gif

Hey! Congrats! Iâ€m so jealous you only have 6 months to go. You definitely picked a great ship, FI and I went on that one last Dec and the Carnival service was awesome compared to other ports. I went on one out of JAX in March and can you believe the stateroom wasnâ€t even cleaned when we arrived and they totally messed up the preordered décor we requested. Iâ€ve previously sailed out of PC before, but opted for something closer to home, but never again. Were you affected by the itinerary change? I saw that the overnight Nassau itinerary changed to 8-5 the same day. I actually had to switch my wedding date because of it. Luckily I found out prior to signing any contracts. What all did you put in your welcome bags? I definitely needs some ideas…lol Also, did you do a block of cabins with carnival? If so, were their prices competitive with their sales they are always having? I tried blocking rooms at some hotels in Nassau and their group rates we not as great as their sale rates, so Iâ€ll just let my guest decide. I started wondering if cruises were the same.
