MC Wedding August 2013

Hello everyone! I am new to the forum, and I have to agree with a lot of the other brides-to-be on this forum. The information on here is a HUGE help! My FI and I are getting married August 24, 2013 at 6PM on the beach at the MC. I guess since it is their off season it was not very difficult to get a Saturday and get a symbolic ceremony in the evening. I am glad that it will be later though since it is SUPER hot around that time of year.

I just emailed them about a week ago and gave them the last three Saturdays in August and they only responded with one date and one time. So, I would definitely encourage anyone looking to get married there to email them ASAP. We are anticipating around 40 guests or so. I have been in contact with the WC, but my TA will be booking all of the rooms.

We are planning to do the free dinner reception after the wedding at one of their restaurants. Should I put in for a reservation now? Also, any thoughts on their spa and how talented they are at doing hair and makeup for the wedding?

We are soooooo excited for our wedding! August 2013 cannot come soon enough!!

Hey Congrats on the date! It is tough getting the date that you want, even with more then a year notice. I would definitely look at booking the dinner and reception as soon as you figure out what you want, because those get booked up quickly too. I wanted the Wetbar for my reception, but it was already taken, and now I am using the Parrot bar...but am now limited to the amount of guests (as Parrot bar is for about 40 guests). So plan wisely and quickly!
